The Ramblings of a Fosgnilbmareht

I learned about hostile takeovers today over at blog.pmarca.com. It was actually quite interesting to read. I knew that it could involve buying out a controlling amount of stock of the company being taken over but I didn’t know about the other ways like proxy battling. A proxy fight sounds kind of cool until you learn what it means. Then it gets boring. Well not really, since I still found it interesting.

I’ve been following the Microsoft - Yahoo takeover for awhile. I’m not sure why but I think I want them to merge. Combines two of my email accounts right there, even if Google has already merged all of them for me. Google Apps is awesome. Anyway I’m still waiting to see how all of this pans out.
